
Traditional Meethi Roti Recipe (Sweet Roti)
Here’s a simple and tasty recipe for Meethi Roti, a sweet Indian flatbread made with jaggery and wheat flour.
Ingredients: 1 cup wheat flour (atta),1/2 cup grated jaggery (gud), 2 tbsp ghee (for dough & roasting),1/2 tsp cardamom powder (elaichi), A pinch of salt, Water (as needed)
Instructions:
1. Melt Jaggery: In a pan, add jaggery and 1/4 cup water. Heat till the jaggery melts. Strain to remove impurities. Let it cool slightly.
2. Make Dough: In a bowl, mix flour, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt. Add jaggery syrup slowly and knead into a soft dough. Add a bit of ghee while kneading.
3. Rest the Dough: Cover and let it rest for 15–20 minutes.
