Besan Chilla Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup Besan (gram flour)
1 small Onion, finely chopped
1 small Tomato, finely chopped
1 Green chilli, finely chopped (optional)
2 tbsp Fresh coriander, chopped
½ tsp Carom seeds (ajwain)
¼ tsp Turmeric powder
½ tsp Red chilli powder (or to taste)
Salt to taste
Water as needed (to make batter)
Oil for cooking
Method:
In a bowl, add besan, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, and ajwain.
Add water gradually and make a smooth, pourable batter.
Mix in onion, tomato, green chilli, and coriander.
Heat a non-stick pan or tawa and lightly grease it with oil.
Pour a ladle of batter and spread it into a round shape.
Cook on medium heat until golden, then flip and cook the other side.
Serve hot.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve with green chutney, tomato ketchup, or curd.
Quick Tip:
For extra crispiness, add 1 tsp rice flour to the batter.
